Want to
increase the Value of Your Home ?
Many times we are asked the, "How can I increase the
value of my home?"
We always give the same answer. You can increase the
value of your home by adding more square footage to your home or by
remodeling the interior. These two items will give the biggest value
increase for your dollar.
Generally, most people can add additional square
footage with a bedroom or family room addition. The more bedrooms you
have, the more money your home is worth (just don't go over more than
six bedrooms), Sometimes, due to either lot size or zoning requirements,
or if your located within a condominium development, you can not complete a room
additional.
And on the topic of room additions, DON'T convert your
garage into a room, especially without permits as it DE-VALUES your
home. Many people are unaware of this.
So, if you cannot add square footage, than your best
option is to upgrade or remodeled the interior. The first item you
should be looking at, is your kitchen and than bathrooms. Once again
these two items will give you the biggest increase per dollar spent.
We have put together some links that will help you get
